When taking pictures, your focus should be mostly on what it is you want to capture. With only this much in mind you have a great start. All of the other details come secondary. When you already see so many different things in the world around you, it's very easy to begin capturing those things. When the world around you means nothing to you, or meaning must be brought to you, you'll find it more difficult. In this way, I find photography and spirituality or philosophy are connected. Previous pictures can give you the opportunity to see through your own eyes of the past. To express yourself with photography means to take something from within yourself and create the image of that thing externally. If you know yourself well, this comes easy. If you don't, you'll find it more difficult. In this way, too, I find spirituality and photography are connected.
This is what I find in photography.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
But today is a gift.
That is why they call it the present.

I am now a holy man. I think of women as the mothers of our children. They are a sanctuary for the reproductive organs. A temple to house the miracle of procreation. "staring intently" Anyone have a dollar?
